MKAUSA And These Tough Times


How can a Qaid help a Khadim when someone loses a job?
  • The Economic Crisis Taskforce was created by Sadr Sahib last month to deal with the current economic conditions. In response to the economic crisis, agenda for a MKA Economy Workshop has been compiled, addressing many issues such as Islamic economics, managing finance, smart shopping, mortgages, credit cards, cars, how to deal with job loss, medical coverage, and savings/investing (Brother Irfan Chaudhry is leading this initiative: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.   • A Qaid Handbook is being created guiding Qaideen on what to do with individuals who are facing challenges, such as job loss.

  • § Prayer from the Holy Quran
  • 1. 'O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table from heaven spread with food that it may be to us a festival, to the first of us and to the last of us and a Sign from Thee; and provide sustenance for us, for THOU art the Best of Sustainers.' (ALMaidah 115)
  • 2. 'Our Lord, bestow on us mercy from Thyself, and furnish us with right guidance in our affair.' (AL Kahaf 11)
  • § Prayer of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)
  • 1. O Allah, I seek Your protection against hardship and grief, I seek Your protection against the lack of means and laziness; I seek your protection against cowardice and miserliness; I seek Your protection against being overwhelmed with debt and ill-treatment from people. O Allah, make Your lawful things sufficient for me and save me from Your unlawful things. And trough Your mercy make me independant of everything other than You.

  • Huzur (aba) has also advised the community to read the following prayer abundantly:
  • o RABI KULLU SHA'IN KHADIMOKA RABBI FAFAZNA WANSURNA WARHAMNA: Lord, everything serves Thee; then Lord protect us and help us and have mercy on us.

What role should MKA Sanat-o-Tijarat play in these economic crisis and hard times?

In addition to the above mentioned items, the Sanat-o-Tijarat (Career Development) Department has the following ongoing programs:

  • Ahmadiyya Networking Pages: a directory with names and contact information of Ahmadis nationwide employed in diverse fields. This directory serves to connect those who may be interested in changing careers and want advice from others already in that field. It's also a way for Ahmadis to support each other economically.
  • Mentoring Program: this program has been initiated to provide guidance to students or other individuals who are either struggling with choosing a particular career path or want to excel in their already chosen career.
  • Jobs Page: Here you can find the job openings shared byAhmadi brothers from all over USA.
  • Career Awareness Seminar: This seminar series has been initiated to provide awareness, training, and guidance so that our Jamaat members are better informed and can acquire necessary skillsfor a more rewarding career.
